Lennie Alehat is best known for appearing on TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life. While he’s not the show’s main star, Lennie has been on the series for many years as he’s good friends with Whitney Way Thore. Their relationship began after meeting on a dating app. And, although things didn’t work out between them romantically, they’ve salvaged a solid friendship.
As Lennie stars in My Big Fat Fabulous Life, some fans are surprised to find out that he was also on another reality TV show around five years ago. None other than MTV’s Catfish. Lennie was grilled by Nev Schulman just like any other Catfish star. Upon meeting the woman he’d been speaking to online, things got awkward and he was armed with excuses for why he “never FaceTimed.”

Lennie is still appearing as a cast member on My Big Fat Fabulous Life these days.
He first joined the series alongside Whitney Way Thore in 2015 for season 2.
During the reality TV star’s early days on MBFFL, Lennie also appeared on MTV‘s Catfish.
Lennie’s episode aired in December 2018. A woman named Chelsea was keen to find out if he really was who he said he was after speaking to him online.
Lennie was armed with excuses
During the Catifsh episode, Lennie is greeted by Nev, Tallulah Willis and Chelsea.
Addressing why he never FaceTimed Chelsea, Lennie said it was “kinda hard with his schedule,” because he’s got “two different jobs.”
Lennie said he had some concerns over how Chelsea would “picture him in her head versus reality,” because she had seen him on TV.
The My Big Fat Fab Life star also revealed that he had someone else manning his Facebook page during times that he was filming which was a surprise to his online interest.
Chelsea wanted to clarify where the two stood as they’d talked about “moving to Utah, having kids and getting married.”
She said she wanted to leave the show as “friends.” Nowadays, Chelsea is married and her husband writes on Instagram that they are “soul mates” and “twin flames.”
